Free As a Bird

Toast
by Heywood Banks

All around the country
and coast to coast
People always say,
"what do you like most?"
I don’t want to brag,
I don’t want to boast
I always tell ‘em, "I like toast."
YEAH, TOAST!!
YEAH, TOAST!!

I get up in the morning
‘bout six A.M.Have a little jelly,
have a little jam
Take a piece of bread,
put it in the slot
Push down the lever
and the wires get hot,
I get toast.
YEAH, TOAST!
YEAH, TOAST!

Now, there’s no secret
to toasting perfection
There’s a dial on the side
and you make your selection
Push to the dark or the light
and then
If it pops too soon,
press down again
Make toast.
YEAH, TOAST!
YEAH, TOAST!

When the first caveman
drove in from the drags
Didn’t know what would go
with the bacon and the eggs
Must have met a genius,
got it in his head
Plug the toaster in the wall,
buy a bag of bread
Make toast.
YEAH, TOAST! YEAH,
TOAST!

Oui Monsieur, bonjour coquette,
Une croissant? Et vous auvent?
Maurice Chevalier, Eiffel Tower,
Oui Marie, baguette, bonsoir!
FRENCH TOAST!
FRENCH TOAST!

A Little Sunshine Sent Your Way

New Bow. Exciting Things.

I have embarked on a mission to get a new bow. Currently I play an a completely unacceptable $150 mere piece of wood. I am going to spend roughly $2500 on it. I either want an old French bow or a bow by a big-name present maker, John Norwood Lee. My teacher uses one of his bows and also told me that Izhak Perlman and Sarah Chang also play on them. I am working on getting the loan and the letters to get the loan budget raised right now. I'm certain I will be sucessful. I'll then have to find a way to get to Chicago.

Project for Mus. 204

This is for any ISU music major who happens to stumble upon this page: For the last project I am interested in making a movie. Yes, a movie. The principal problem that faces me is that movies are in a way, a GROUP affair, and well, I suppose I might need some help. Just so you know what you might be getting into, I am leaning more towards a story that is (to the dismay of my original collaborators,) not funny. That means it might not be too easy to create. If anyone has any latent acting, photographic, or EDITING skill, please let me know my posting on my blog. Inquirers will be informed more fully as to the nature to this elephanitine project.
