My process: The expanded edition
1. I mainly wanted something that sounded like an actual band. I'm not too creative when it comes to music composition so I was pretty nervous about it. I admit, I took very few risks. I just wanted it to sound authentic and a little "safe."
2. My challenges were using GarageBand. I really didn't have it figured out at all. I had all these ideas but I couldn't figure out how to actually get the program to work for me. I didn't know if what I wanted to do was possible with the program and I didn't want to stress myself out too much trying to figure it out. Technology and I don't get along too well but I am afraid I am going to need to become best friends with the computer very, very soon.
3. The thing I would change is just making it more interesting. I wanted to add some raucous piano sounds and maybe some jazz-sounding saxes and ugly sounding clarinets. Mainly, I wanted to add things to break up the monotony but I didn't really think I would be able to find or create these sounds without lots of headache.
4. I think I need more time alone with Garageband. :(
5. I would like to know what everyone thought. I'll be the first to admit it is repetative and boring though.
